CAMPUS is the etymon which comes the name Campania initially referred to the territory of Terra di Lavoro which comprised the actual Naples and Caserta’s provinces with the exclusion of the Peninsula Sorrentina, but CAMPUS is in the English language, the whole lands and buildings belonging to an University too, especially in the United States, in the full meaning the same University.

NOVUS CAMPUS understood like “New University”, represents the will to contribute to the construction of a new regional identity able to give answers to ancient problems of our region backwardness where meet, always in symbioses, new hierarchies and underdevelopment with a future to interpretate.

NOVUS CAMPUS, understood as “New University”, is the review which offers itself as a “open” tool for the whole universitary world and economic, social, politic and territorialy research of our region for defining a new “polis”, a new commitment where to invest the intelligence, the passion, the will of redemption of the big collective intellectual constituted by teachers, researchers entrepreneurs, trade unionists, public managers, politicians who have the will of to undertake the reasons, the contents, the ideas from which refounding a new meridionalism.

NOVUS CAMPUS understood like “New Fields”. For don’t give the yesterday answers to the future problem. The review, with its collaborators, wants to research new fields, unexplored territories, to draw maps, to individuate new ways for trying to give, now, the tomorrow answers to the nowadays problems.
NOVUS CAMPUS will focus its own interest, on some specific themes, which are, in our opinion, the key for a new season of development of the South, increasing, extending, in the limit of our possibilities, the useful ideas, from any part it comes, for contributing to integrate Campania and South of Italy in Europe.

NOVUS CAMPUS origins in full cultural autonomy, with the support of the Cgil Campania, which promoted the research Institute Ires Campania, and wants, with the limit of its own possibilities, to contribute to know and to interpretate the enterprise, its social system of reference and its changes. It will be a place of reflection about the works, those possible, those there are, those are useful, those will be, and without prejudices, will face up the theme of the citizenship income, of the irregular work and its defence. It will debate about training, intervening in the necessary discussion, to open, about the undelayable transformations of a system which must contribute to the qualification of the territorial systems.
